If I no longer had a phone or apps or a brand new TV;
If I didn’t have a car or stove or electricity;
What would I do without such things which make life so easy?
* You still would have My guarantee to get you through each time of need.
If I lost my job or home or all of my wealth;
If my kids rebelled, my business failed and I even lost my health;
How could I cope with tragedy and survive bad things I’ve been dealt?
*You still would have My sufficiency and My hand to hold for help.
If I found myself all alone and empty and afraid;
If my friends were gone and someone I love, my trust has just betrayed;
Where would I find companionship; how could I trust again?
*You still would have My everlasting love that’s been there since before you were made.
“For I, the LORD your God, will hold your right hand, saying to you, ‘Fear not, I will help you’.”
Isaiah 41:13
Beautiful! That first part reminds me of how so many in our world today actually live. In third world countries, that’s the way the majority live, and I’ve discovered many of these people have great faith. They’ve already learned the truths you’ve expressed here. 🙂
Goes right along with how God reminded me of all our blessings we have in America on the way home from grocery shopping this morning. I had started complaining about traffic and how I hate to grocery shop. He gently reminded me of the fact that I had money to shop for food already packaged and a nice, warm car to take me there! We are so blessed!
Thank you Sue, The second part I truly Know ‘now’~Its when He removes things from our lives that we SO took for granted that you really find “HE IS ALL WE NEED! and that His promises are True He WILL hold you up during the storm:) A forever faithful promise keeping GOD we serve!
Yes! I thought of you and Keith when writing this. You will never know what a testimony your lives exude by how you both keep trusting it all to God. Love you both!
Sue, I just left a comment on another post, but want to tell you another thing I connect with you over is poetry. I wrote over 100 poems in the early part of my life and have often thought about writing them again. You are inspiring that flame in me. 🙂
This one reminds me of our experience in the last few years. God moved us to a new state, allowed things to majorly change our lives. My husband was without work for 23 months, nearly died from meningitis, we moved again, and had to go through bankruptcy because of it all. The trust and growth was AMAZING! God has been good to us through our restoration – because He loves us. May I share part of that story with you?

Sounds like you have had quite a journey. I have read your testimony on your site. So glad God has so wonderfully pulled you and your husband through difficulties. Will pray things get easier. No matter what happens, He is always faithful to meet us right at the point of our need. Thanks for your kind remarks!
Yes He is faithful! For that I am thankful.
I am also thankful for finding your blog. Keep blessing the world with your thoughts. 🙂
