God’s Opinion is What Matters ~ Snippets of Rain

Overlooked ~ clematis seed pod

People may dismiss you, do I?
People may overlook you, do I?

I made you.
I understand you.
I listen to your every word.
It doesn’t matter whether others think about you.

 When you connect with Me, I hear.
I’m Who matters.

Pour yourself into Me;
I receive you.

Take your eyes off the opinions of others;
I understand you.

Focus only on Me;
I complete you.

Dismiss the lies of the enemy;

At times, I struggle with caring more about the opinions of others than what God thinks.  I have a hard time separating out their responses to me and focusing on His instead.
Yet, we answer to God, not man.
The Bible is clear that the fear of man brings a snare. (Prov. 29:25)  It traps us and stifles our progress.  We must never allow what others think to stop us from stepping into who God called us to be.

Lift Up Your Eyes to Me ~ Snippets of Rain

Lift up your eyes to Me

I am doing things you do not know.
I am working things out in a way you do not expect.
Keep your trust in Me.

“This is the Lord’s doing; it is marvelous in our eyes.”

During times of waiting on God to answer our prayers, let us never forget that God neither slumbers nor sleeps.  While we wait, He is doing marvelous things that our eyes will one day see.

*For about two weeks, I have been struggling with markedly increased neck pain and inner ear symptoms.  Double whammy!  I have been working at my nurse job, but trying to minimize computer time while at home.  Bear with me while I await God’s healing touch. 

He is so faithful to strengthen and minister to us during the trials.

Stay With Me ~ In Perfect Peace

Peaceful ~ Trust God, find perfect peace

Don’t get distracted by roads that only have dead ends
Stay in continual
Communion with Me

I bring life
I offer hope
I provide help
I give peace

“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.”

Isn’t it ironic that the time of year we celebrate ‘peace on earth, goodwill toward men’ is the very season our peace easily dissipates?   During the holidays, unnecessary stress and busyness distract us. 

Yet in the midst, it is possible to find peace ~ perfect peace.  Over the years, I have learned the power of setting boundaries and trying to stay focused on the peace Christ offers by abiding in Him.

The Loving Eyes of My Grace

Steadfast in the Lord ~ Snippets of Rain

Rock formations along the Pacific coast

Keep writing,
Keep serving.
Don’t give up.
I will keep filling you
With more and more of Me,
You’ll see.

Do any of you get discouraged in serving the Lord?  Do you ever feel as though your service unto the Lord is in vain?  I do.

God does not want us to give up.  Allow this truth to soak into your weariness.

Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.
1 Corinthians 15:58

Whether it is writing, ministering or simply shining the light of God at the workplace or at home, He sees every effort.  He is pleased with our offerings.  None of what we do for Him is ever in vain.
