Steadfast in the Lord ~ Snippets of Rain

Keep writing,
Keep serving.
Don’t give up.
I will keep filling you
With more and more of Me,
You’ll see.

Do any of you get discouraged in serving the Lord?  Do you ever feel as though your service unto the Lord is in vain?  I do.

God does not want us to give up.  Allow this truth to soak into your weariness.

Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.
1 Corinthians 15:58

Whether it is writing, ministering or simply shining the light of God at the workplace or at home, He sees every effort.  He is pleased with our offerings.  None of what we do for Him is ever in vain.

Blessings in serving.

Pacific, Ocean Blue: Unveiling God’s Grandeur

Pacific

Pacific

Majestic ocean, so sublime;
Pacific wonder, clear azure.
Ever constant, its billowing,
Unveiling God’s splendid grandeur.

Serene sunset, glory ablaze;
Radiating beams, pure allure.
Spectacular hint of Your Light;
Reminiscent warmth to reassure.

Soaring scavengers, shrill seagulls;
Pelicans chasing down waves to glide.
Mirroring glimpses of our freedom,
Mounted with wings into the sky.

Glancing heavenward, towering high,
Palms of stately, weather worn rings.
Waving branches, a sort once used
As welcome mats fit for a King.

Palms 2

Vast horizon, vanishing far;
Plunging fathoms, stretching so wide.
Ocean blue portrays Your greatness,
Resonates of Your loving tide.

“O LORD, how manifold are Thy works! In wisdom hast Thou made them all: the earth is full of Thy riches. So is this great and wide sea.”
Psalm 104:24, 25

I grew up in Florida along the gray Atlantic. Even though I still love the beaches in Florida, there is nothing like the shimmering blue of the Pacific. Both the poem and photos are memories of a wonderful trip my husband and I took to California this past week.

Hope you enjoy!
