Don’t You Love God’s Mercy?

God's majesty in sunset

God’s majesty in sunsets

Don’t you love God’s abundant mercy;
His amazing, saving grace?
Just thinking about it now
Brings a smile to my face.

Aren’t you astounded by His love
And the wonders of His majesty?
Just knowing that the King of kings
Came here to rescue you and me.

Though trapped in sin’s dark grip
And bound by the curse it brings,
Just in time, God’s Son did descend,
A swaddled babe, born while angels sing.

No more need we flounder alone,
No more face deserved penalty.
What we could never do on our own,
The cross accomplished, setting captives free.

Don’t you love God’s abundant mercy?
Aren’t you astounded by amazing grace?
Evermore I’ll sing of His love
Rejoicing that one day, we’ll see Him face to face.

“To the only wise God our Savior, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever.”
Jude 1:25

Blessings, blogging friends.  I’m still struggling to get back into blogging.  Miss each of you.  No matter what, God is good and daily amazes me with His majesty!

Cascades of God’s Glory

A photo I took of the sun behind the clouds while we were in Colorado. Taken through the window as my husband was driving but still turned out pretty.

A photo I took while we were in Colorado.  Taken through the window as my husband was driving, so it is a little blurry, but I think it still turned out pretty.

Cascades of God’s Glory

Give me some meaning,
Let it make sense.
Don’t hide behind cunning words
What is only nonsense.
Give me cascades of God’s glory,
Progressive glimpses of His grace.
Give me something that very clearly
Exemplifies the wondrous majesty
Of His ways.

Of Your Wonders ~ Facebook Page Annoucement

Of Your Wonders
I will speak of the glorious honour of Thy majesty, and of Thy wondrous works.

Psalm 145:5

My post today has a dual purpose.  I wanted to showcase a couple of recent photos and to announce my new Facebook page, Heavenly Raindrops.  It is my intention to use this site as a place to house my images.  Many of them will have links to blog posts which further expound.

Because of sizing and positioning quirks inherent to Facebook Pages (which are driving me crazy ~ would appreciate any suggestions), I may also have alternate images on my blog.  For instance, the image above is the full view with the text overlaid in the way I preferred.  This is how I tweaked it for Facebook:

Of Your Wonders for FB

I have already posted this one on the News Feed, but it can still be accessed directly on my Facebook page.  My hope is that others will share these and participate in spreading God’s glory through social networking.

As you may have noticed, I am not a professional photographer or designer.  I am self-taught, and a rookie, at best.  However, all God asks is my willingness to use the abilities He has given me, and to create what He inspires.  I am living proof that He uses clay!

I would love to have my blog followers Like my new site!  You can follow this link, or click the Like button on my home page.

Now, back to the photo part of this post!

My wild azaleas bloomed recently.  Though less spectacular than hybrids, they have a loveliness all their own.  Plus, they are maintenance free!  I just cannot get over the wonder of God’s majesty in them and all of His creation!

Close up and beautiful!

Blessings on your day, and always!

Just a few of the lovely sunsets we witnessed while in California. I have much to learn about photographing them, but enjoyed them immensely. I am so in awe of His majesty!
