Weekly Photo Challenge: Object ~ What Goes With It

For my Nikon D200

For my Nikon D200

Sometimes, the object itself is not what is most important; it is what goes with it.

I need my lens cap, but the camera that goes with it is what I love.

I am fond of my wedding band, but my husband who gave it to me is whom I love.

I treasure God’s word, but it is the One of whom it speaks that I love.

Winter Scenes ~ Snowy Landscapes

A little creek bed draining into a small lake near my home.

I took many photos on our snow days this past week.  Thought I would share some landscapes today, then feature others later.

Some of you live in areas that get tons of snow, but this is about as much as we get here in Mississippi!

I might add Scripture to one or more of these later.  If I do, which one of these do you like the best?

This one was a little underexposed, but is probably my favorite of the landscapes

Light My Way

Light My WayRecite to me your worries
I have the answer for each one.
You may not understand your problems,
But for each the victory’s been won.

Share with Me your sorrows.
Don’t hesitate to pour them out.
You may not see a way through the night,
But there’s light ahead, never doubt.

You light a lamp for me. The LORD, my God, lights up my darkness.
Psalm 18:28 NLT

The Real No Spin Zone

The Real No Spin ZoneStanding before God’s throne: the real no spin zone.

When we stand before God one day, we will be without excuse.  At that point, all that will matter is whether we truly know Jesus as Lord.

When God opens the Lamb’s Book of Life, will He find your name?

“And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened…”
Revelation 20:12

God’s Great Love ~ Snippets of Rain

Sunset 16 copyI am doing
Great things,
By My great power,
Because of My great love
For you.

We often pray,
Break my heart for what breaks Yours,’
But we forget that
God’s heart breaks for what breaks ours.

He loves us with great love.

Stay With Me ~ In Perfect Peace

Don’t get distracted by roads that only have dead ends
Stay in continual
Communion with Me

I bring life
I offer hope
I provide help
I give peace

Stay with Me

“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.”
Isaiah 26:3

Isn’t it ironic that the time of year we celebrate ‘peace on earth, goodwill toward men’ is the very season our peace easily dissipates?   During the holidays, unnecessary stress and busyness distract us.

Yet in the midst, it is possible to find peace ~ perfect peace.  Over the years, I have learned the power of setting boundaries and trying to stay focused on the peace Christ offers by abiding in Him.
