I loved the fire’s repeating reflections on the glass enclosure ~ taken one evening while we were in California
This weekend, my husband had a trip to Florida, on the Atlantic side. Sadly, I did not get to go along.
While there, he probably will not even visit the beach, because he is not very fond of the sea. I don’t understand that. I love the ocean; sometimes, I think I hear it calling to me.
The picture above was from our trip last spring to Carlsbad, CA. Typical of southern California, the evenings were balmy and the sunsets gorgeous.
The reason for the photo was to capture the repeating reflections of the fire on the glass enclosure, which encircled the area. Can’t help but think of how God wants believers to fan the flame of His Spirit within, so that the light of His presence spreads for all the world to see. It begins with each of us, individually, doing our part.
Even though it is a little hard to see the reflections, I think the picture captures this thought well.
Fan into flames the gift of God.
2 Timothy 1:6
I am missing our time of relaxing by the sea. Perhaps another time…hopefully, soon!

you have a gift of fanning flames dear friend … in word, picture, poetry, and many words of encouragement to us … may God richly bless you!
How thoughtful and kind to say all of
that about me. Thanks Heidi. Very much.
all true 🙂
I love the ocean-just not the sand.
