Weekly Photo Challenge: Good Morning! ~ Word

A Bible, worn from years of use, is a beautiful sight.

A Bible, worn from years of use, is a beautiful sight.

Morning is the theme this week.  With a photograph, I show something that describes my mornings.

I learned a long time ago, when I start my mornings by reading the Bible and spending time with the Lord, my days go better.  Through our time together, He prepares me for what lies ahead.

At morning’s first light,
may I lay aside other things,
To read from God’s word
And hear His soft whisperings.

Sometimes I get up early enough to have quiet time with the Lord while watching a sunrise!

    Dear sis,
Amen! Yes you absolutely right. Spending time with God, reading His word and reflect it will becomes our strength to face all of our problems 🙂 Beautiful sunrise photo, sis. I will use it for my next post. Blessings on your beautiful morning.

Isn’t it amazing that if we spend the first hours of our day with God, everything falls into place? It’s not that we can just breeze into the day without our share of struggles, but we can be sure that God’s presence is with us.
Thanks for a most wonderful entry.

While I do like holding the Bible in my hands, my daily Bible reading has been on my phone, and I think I’m wearing out the sleep/wake button. Does that count? [chuckle] Beautiful images, Sue!

Bible apps are great. I have one and listen on my way to work for part of my daily. I just have this ingrained habit of underlining and writing notes in the margins. Don’t know how I’d ever give that up! Blessings and thanks.

I have one I listen to as well, although I’ve been listening to sermons more so lately, and should get back to listening to the Bible, too. Thank you for the reminder!

Sue, you are so right. The day does go better if we start it off with the Lord. I remember years ago someone saying (Maybe it was our pastor), “You miss a day of prayer and God knows. You miss 2 days of prayer and you know. You miss 3 days of prayer and everyone knows.” Just goes to show how much we depend on God to see us through everything. Beautiful post and beautiful photo.
    Blessings.

Your pictures are beautiful! When I get to heaven, I will be able to take pictures like that! LOL!
I agree with your comment to Julie, if me and Jesus don’t start out together, my day is a mess! Thank you! 🙂

Fortunately, God has helped me learn this principle and I try not to miss my mornings in the Word. However, it can easily become just a routine instead of really interacting with Him. That’s the part where He is still growing me! blessings and thanks for the compliments. Photography is such a relaxing hobby. I am still learning, but very glad it blesses others. When I get to heaven, I want to try again at learning to play the piano. Tried for six years taking lessons, but it was not my talent. I figure after about a million years of lessons, maybe I’ll get better! 🙂
