God Bless Jerusalem

God bless Jerusalem,
Land that You love,
Stand beside her
And guide her
For the world has left Israel alone;

All the nations, have forgotten
Those who bless her, end up blessed.
God bless Jerusalem,
Your chosen home.
God bless Jerusalem,
Your very own.

My heart aches for Israel, as the world grows increasingly deaf to their cries for help against threats from their enemies. Our own nation is now turning the other way, by negotiating with their worse enemy, Iran.  Yet, God watches over Israel and promises that those who bless her, He will bless.

May our prayers be with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu today as he speaks before the United Nations General Assembly and for the tough decisions he must make about his nation.  I pray his words fall on listening ears, and that we stand united for the peace of Jerusalem.

God bless America as we stand with Israel.

I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you.
Genesis 12:3

Thank you, Sue. Not many people are concerned about Israel right now because of the government shutdown. But I believe we should stand with her.

I long for the day the Eastern Gate is opened for the first time! Thank you for this reminder that even though Israel is going through chastisement for her sin, and the world wants to forget and curse her, God will yet remember and bless her. “Even so, come, Lord Jesus”!

Sue, this is a remarkably beautiful and timely post. Bless you for it!

Years ago, my husband pointed out that Jesus never told us to stop praying for the peace of Jerusalem. It wasn’t something we had been taught growing up.

We need these timely reminders. Keep up the good work!

    May God bless you!

    Hugs,

    Gwennon

This is a beautiful message. I would be honored to pass this along to other readers. Israel needs our prayers now and in the future. Things are being prepared for what is ahead.
    Thanks again for sharing this.

You are welcome to share however you would like. It would be an honor for me to show honor to Israel. And they do need our prayers. God loves His chosen people. Blessings and thanks.

I have to come up with an alternative to “beautifully done” but… beautifully done! “I will bless those who bless you and curse those who curse you.” Could God be any more specific? Blessings, my friend! Sophie
