I have always had a fascination with rocks. For this weeks photo challenge, From Lines to Patterns, I chose two rocks I found while in Homer, Alaska. The one above has a beautiful pattern of lines encircling it. Some of my geology enthusiast readers may know what mineral is contained in these bands. Â
Lines can sometimes form a closed shape. Do you see the heart design on the front rock? Love notes from the Creator! 🙂
Rock of Ages, cleft for me….let me hide myself in thee

I love rocks. Had a big collection as a child.
My son did, too, Karyl. As children, rock lovers are called pebble pups and the when grown-up ‘rock-hounds’. Guess that’s me! Blessings
My niece is now into it too. Love the terms! 🙂
🙂
A lovely pattern on those rocks.
thanks!
Sue, I saw the heart right away. I share your love of rocks (especially the Rock). Lovely post! I am posting about rocks on Friday’s greenlightlady. 🙂 His “love notes” are all over the planet.
Blessings ~ Wendy
Yes they are, Wendy. All we need do is to be on the lookout for His fingerprints all over Creation! 🙂
Neat…
🙂
I love rocks and hearts, too! And yes, I see it! 😀
Thanks, Rene. This one was fairly obvious!
Amazingly beautiful! I love love-notes from my Father 🙂 Sometimes, in my business, I miss them though 😦
He has a way of getting them to us, though. Kind of like how He blessed you with a cross inside of a spider’s web. Amazing!
Wow, those are pretty amazing. I’ve never seen rocks like these before.
The rocks in Alaska are different from any I had ever seen, too. 🙂
What a great memento…priceless!
🙂
Great photos for the theme! My daughter would love to find rocks like that. If her rock and mineral collection gets any bigger we might have to move her room off of the second floor so the house doesn’t collapse. 🙂
I love it! My son was a ‘pebble pup’, as young rock lovers are called. He used to save for months to have money to spend on amethyst quarts rocks which were sold at the twice yearly rock/gem and mineral show. Thanks and I hope your house endures the collection! 🙂
That sounds exactly like my daughter!
Me too 😀
That’s a priceless stone you have there!
🙂
I just love it when He does things like that for us!! Thank you for sharing! 🙂
🙂
Great rocks! I especially like the one with the heart on it. I have a windowsill full of heart-shaped rocks. I find them everywhere…like little kisses from the Father!

You should take a picture of them and share! 🙂
