Friday ~ What I Missed

Feature Friday

As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.
Proverbs 27:17

I missed your posts while I was spending time in the woodshed.  Although I would love to go back for the entire week and read each one, I do not know how to balance that with my work and family obligations.

For this Friday Feature post, I would love for you to pick one of your favorites from what you wrote during the week of Sept. 9th and post a link and brief description under the comments section here.  That way, I can enjoy reading some of what I missed; others will be blessed, too, as we hear from you!

Blessings on your Friday.
Sue

Karina, what a beautiful tribute your father gave you and what a wonderful daughter you are to him. Thanks so much for sharing this post. It brought a smile to my face and tears to my eyes. Blessings sweet blogging sister in Christ.

Aww… what a beautiful tribute!! It is especially dear to my heart since I spent most of my life separated from my father because of divorce. But also because I love when my granddaughter lights up and runs into my arms shouting, “Mimi!” 😀

So sorry to hear about your upbringing apart from your dad life is not always easy. How awesome that God blessed you with such a wonderful granddaughter. Will say a prayer for God to continue his healing work over this hurt that I imagine must still surface. Blessings sweet friend.

Sorry I haven’t figured out the technicalities. It’s terrible having a low-tech mind in a high-tech society. I just two posts on The Beatitudes if you’re interested nightlightblogdotcom.wordpress,com. Glad you’re back from the woodshed!

What a nice way to share with you. You always think so lovingly, that is one thing I admire about you, Sue. May I share this link with you and others. Gwen is a wonderful person and a RN, like yourself. She has started a non-profit in her community as an outreach to the youth. She made a video and entered Scholars for Change Video Contest by Walden University. Please read her link, you can vote daily in the contest! Thank you, Sue. Bless you.~Zoey

What a sweet idea, Sue! I just want to add that I find it impossible to keep up with all the blogs I follow, and I certainly don’t expect anyone to read all of my posts either; however, I enjoy my visits when I get there… especially spiritually nourishing posts like yours (your pictures are the icing). 🙂

    Blessings ~ Wendy

Hi Sue… What I believe is the most important of all the lessons on SIH for this week was last Saturday’s posting….
    http://settledinheaven.wordpress.com/2013/09/13/personal-experience-or-gods-word-which-is-our-standard-1/
This posting is the beginning of a three part series on the role of our personal experiences in our walk with the Lord. I believe the Bible gives us much teaching on the subject and yet, there seems to be a lot of questions and misconceptions on this issue.

Lord bless you! Glad to have you back.

On Sept. 11 I woke up with this song rolling through my mind and pressing sweetly on my heart. It’s a precious event whenever I actually hear perfumed song lyrics expressing my deepest thoughts towards my Abba. He’s given me these words, and I’ve written them as I heard them sung to me. Thanks, Sue, for letting me share them! God bless…

Toni, what a wonderful testimony of how you trusted the Lord and He provided. I had read that same post by Tami and decided to put the names of my lost loved ones in a box. May blog about it soon. thanks for sharing you story; I pray others will read and be encouraged!

Thank you! I’m not exactly sure why, but trusting the LORD is one of the easiest things I do each day. Maybe because nothing in my day is under my control. I can’t really express it in words, but He’s just “there” with me, in me, I am in Him and He in me. It’s just maybe that we are as one like a marriage. I am just so grateful for His loving, abiding presence. 🙂

Thanks, Tami. I love the 20/20 rule you spoke of. Had never heard that! Blessings and glad the email thing is working. I keep hearing of this and having experienced it too am convinced it is some WordPress glitch. Blessings for sharing

Thank you, Sue! I had a senior portrait shoot recently and may post a photo or two, but I have more flowers, too! Thank you so much for your encouragement. 🙂
