Fireworks Explosion ~ Wonders From God’s Word

Explosion of beauty

Explosion of beauty ~ this one is my favorite

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword
Hebrews 4:12

On July 4th this year, we attended a fireworks show in the company of some of our Colorado family, which made the evening all the more special.  No matter how many times I see them, I never tire of watching fireworks.  I love hearing the oohs and aah’s from the crowd.  Of hearing from others afterwards which one was their favorite.

Although I enjoy watching them, I had never photographed fireworks, so I decided to try.

With my camera on a tripod and set to manual, I ended up getting some fairly decent shots, which pleasantly surprised me.  After we got back home and I pulled open the images, I discovered how beautiful, in a different way, fireworks are frozen still by a camera’s lens.

As I viewed these and many other photos I took that night, I thought of how after coming to know Christ, the truth of God’s word explodes in our hearts and is even more magnificent to behold.  His word is powerful, quickening and life altering.  It is alive with wondrous beauty.

Since I have so many fireworks photos, I decided it might be fun to post them individually and to use a passage of Scripture along with each.  Nothing else.  Just a brief tag underneath the photo and Scripture.  My goal is to post one weekly, so grab a lawn chair and kick back to watch fireworks ongoing, while at the same time allowing God’s word to do its powerful work!

Be watching for this exciting new series, Fireworks Explosion.  I will post these until I run out of fireworks photos.  However, perhaps I will accumulate more the next time I happen to attend a fireworks show!

Blessings,

I saw that photo yesterday, and it does resemble the firework’s shape. I am trying to learn more about photography, but it can be frustrating because the results are inconsistent. Thanks so much.
