Gods love ~
Can it be measured?
Can it be contained?
Has it ever been done?
For heaven’s sake, no!
How high is it?
The mountains can’t tell.
The planets don’t know.
Has anyone measured the height?
It just isn’t so.
How wide is it?
The sky can’t decide.
The galaxies have no clue.
Has anyone come up with
the width?
It’s impossible to do.
How long is it?
The rivers haven’t discovered.
The comets aren’t sure.
Has anyone figured the length?
It’s a task none could endure.
How deep is it?
The oceans can’t attest.
The fathoms haven’t heard.
Has anyone calculated the depth?
It is a mission quite absurd.
God’s love is so wide and so long,
There’s no comprehending its bounds.
His love is so high and so deep,
Its boundaries cannot be found.
May you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep His love is.
